Liverpool to swoop for Steven Caulker?

Liverpool are reportedly prepared to make a move for Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker during the summer transfer window, according to The People.

  • The report claims that the Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on a reunion with the England international, having previously worked together at Swansea City.

The Merseysiders are believed to be keen on signing a top centre-back in the summer, with the future of Daniel Agger still in doubt, and the former Spurs man remains one of the club's targets.

However, with league rivals Spurs having the first option on re-signing Caulker, the Premier League leaders would have to pay a hefty price for his services, considering the North London club would recoup 50 per cent of any fee paid for the defender.
