Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping tabs on Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen, according to The Mirror.

Allen, 23, who had a tough time at the start of the campaign, has found himself back in the reckoning in the Red's starting line-up in recent weeks.

 

However, with the prospect of playing in the Champions League next season, manager Brendan Rodgers is keen on recruiting top-class players in the midfield setup who could deal with the pressure of big games.

 

With the likes of Jordan Henderson and Lucas Leiva ahead of him in the pecking order, Allen could be forced to look for pastures elsewhere this summer.

 

Tottenham are currently tracking the transfer situation of the former Swansea star.
