Arsenal have reportedly started off talks with Atletico Madrid midfielder Diego over a summer switch to the Emirates, according to TMW.
The talented midfielder is set to leave the Basque club when his contract expires in the summer, and TMW claims that the Gunners have already made initial negotiations with the player over a summer move to the Premier League.
The 29-year-old joined the La Liga leaders on a short-term contract in the winter transfer window, and has played a crucial role in the club's strong end to the season.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been a long-term admirer of the Brazilian international, and would be open to signing him up this summer, as he prepares to add more experience to his midfield setup for the next campaign.
