Atletico Madrid are believed to have told Chelsea that Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku would have to be included in any deal that would see Spanish striker Diego Costa move to Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho has made the signing of a new forward his top priority ahead of the coming season and had been spotted watching Costa in action for Atleti last week.

The Portuguese coach has struggled to find the perfect attacking combo since his return to the Blues, and has grown frustrated with the likes of Samuel Etoo and Fernando Torres.

Costa has been priced at approximately 52 million Euros by the Spanish side.
