The Gunners boss is eager to sign a replacement for Bacary Sagna sooner rather than later, with the French international understood to be closing in on a transfer to reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.

 

The Mirror claims that the Gunners boss wants the talented Japanese right-back at the club this summer, and has sent scouts to watch him in the upcoming World Cup finals in Brazil.

 

Arsenal have also been associated with a move for Toulouse youngster Serge Aurier in recent weeks.
