West Ham manager Sam Allardyce wants to make a move for Man City midfielder Gareth Barry. The England international spent last season on loan at Everton and is looking for a permanent move to a top flight club.
The defensive midfielder had an excellent spell at Goodison Park last year and is unable to make a move to the Toffees as Roberto Martinez has refused to spend a large sum of money on the player.
Barry has one year remaining on his City contract and is seemingly unlikely to play any part in manager Manuel Pellegrini's squad next season.
Barry has also been chased by Newcastle United.
