Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand could be set for a summer move to the MLS, should he fail to agree a deal with Queens Park Rangers.
The talented centre-back has been in constant contact with R's boss Harry Redknapp over a one-year contract at Loftus Road.
Reports now reveal that the former England star could opt for a switch to the United States, if he fails to agree terms with the West London outfit.
"Rio has a lot of business interests in the UK and so it's unlikely the US will be his first choice. However, now is the right time to go." a source close to the veteran defender said.
