Gaston Ramirez to leave Southampton

Out of favour midfielder Gaston Ramirez has been told he is free to leave Southampton. Ramirez is known to favour a return to Serie A, where he played prior to his move to St Mary's.

Torino are believed to be in pole position to complete the signing of the 23-year-old international star, who has struggled to adapt to life on the South Coast. With a fee of 12 million Euros set to be agreed, Ramirez looks set to be the next player to leave Southampton.

Next week, Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana are expected to hand in transfer list requests and follow Rickie Lambert out of the St Mary's exit door.
