England and Arsenal midfield star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been given the green light to make an appearance for his country at the World Cup. Having sustained a knee ligament injury against Ecuador last week, there had been some suggestion 'The Ox' would be sent home.
However, the news is very good for the midfielder, who has made a rapid recovery from the injury and is now set to play some part in England's World Cup campaign.
After England's final warm up game against Honduras, which finished in a 0-0 draw, England manager Roy Hodgson confirmed that the Arsenal midfielder would be available in Brazil.
"I think he will make the tournament without a shadow of a doubt. That's good news," said Hodgson.
