Manchester United are reportedly closing in on the signing of Athletic Bilbao midfield sensation Ander Herrera this summer, according to a report.
The 24-year-old had been linked with a switch to the Red Devils last summer, but the deal was put off following the club's misinterpretation over the player's transfer fee.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils had agreed to trigger the player's release clause, which now stands at around £30m.
In addition to this, talks have been held between the two clubs over the deal, and the transfer could be finalized by today at the earliest.
Herrera could be Louis van Gaal's first signing as manager at Old Trafford.
