Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal is reportedly set to make a surprise move for Fenerbahce striker Dirk Kuyt during the summer transfer window, according to The Mail.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • The talented Netherlands international was a fans' favourite during his six-year tenure with Liverpool, before his switch to Turkish outfit Fenerbahce in the summer of 2012.

The Mail claims that the Red Devils boss is keen on bringing the Dutch forward back to the Premier League, due to his excellent work ethic with the national team during the World Cup finals in Brazil.

Kuyt could feature for the Netherlands against Mexico in the World Cup pre-quarter finals later today.
