Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly delayed Thomas Vermaelen's departure to Manchester United, according to Goal.com
The Belgian international had a poor season at the Gunners, mainly due to a series of injuries, and recent reports revealed that he was keen on joining Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
However, the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has stalled on a £10m offer from the Mancunian giants, with the North London club keen on finding a suitable replacement for the 28-year-old before he could depart to Old Trafford.
The reports also claims that the Gunners are keen on signing a centre-back with previous Premier League experience.
