Arsenal have reportedly tabled a bid of £20 million for Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez as an initial offer. Barcelona have hinted that the Chilean could be sold during the transfer window.

  • Sanchez, who is a Chilean international, has been rumoured to be a hot pursuit this transfer season and has a minimum price tag of £20 million. Arsenal's offer might not be enough to convince Barcelona after his superb run at the World Cup, but according to a report from Spain, a bid has already been tabled. In second stage clash against Brazil, Sanchez equalised with the match going to a penalty shootout.

Arsene Wenger knows that Barcelona are more than willing to let Sanchez leave the club and so is trying to sign him at a minimum possible cost. Barcelona are reportedly looking for a bid of £32 million for the Chilean star, so an offer of £30 million seems more than reasonable.

Giroud will most probably be retained by the North London side and manager Arsene Wenger is looking for another attacker to play alongside him. Sanchez too is reportedly looking to move to the Premier League with Arsenal being his preferred destination.

The 25 year old has scored 19 goals in 34 La Liga appearances for the Catalan giants in 2013-14.
