Liverpool are considering a move for Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar this summer.
Huntelaar has also been a transfer target for the Gunners with Wenger trying to add him to his striker arsenal.
Luis Suarez is keen for a transfer to Barcelona this summer and Liverpool are reportedly losing their grip on him. Rodgers is keen to buy Huntelaar as a replacement for Suarez if he decides to leave Anfield.
Huntelaar is currently in Brazil for the World Cup as Netherlands and will play their quarter final match the day after tomorrow. He has told reporters that he will decide on his future after their World Cup campaign ends.Â
Huntelaar's current club Schalke are reportedly trying to cash in on Huntelaar after the Netherlands international refused to sign a new deal with them, rather than allowing him to leave on a free transfer next year.
