Alvaro Negredo wants Man City exit

Negredo set for Spain return

Alvaro Negredo wants Man City exit

03 July 2014 - 12:25

Spain international Alvaro Negredo is reportedly keen on leaving Manchester City during the summer transfer window.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The talented striker joined the Citizens from Sevilla last summer, and had an excellent first half in the English top tier. However, he failed to replicate the form in the second half, and was subsequently benched for most of the games.

According to The Mail, Negredo wants a return to the La Liga this summer, with Atletico Madrid keen on landing his services.

It is understood that the 28-year-old would favour the switch to the Spanish champions, as it would guarantee him regular first-team football.

Negredo scored 23 goals in all competitions for the Citizens last season.
