Fergies transfer plans

Fergie's transfer plans

03 December 2007 - 17:03

Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that he has no plans to sign any strikers in the January transfer window, but admitted that he may need cover at left-back. Ferguson indicated the departure of Heinze as a key area to improve.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • Ferguson is happy with the players he has, and said in the Sun: "We don't always get great joy in January and I think the squad is good enough.

“It takes time for players to settle in when they are midway through the season — so we are conscious of that. Maybe we are short of cover in the left-back area now Gabriel Heinze has left, but other than that we are okay."

Meanwhile, The Daily Mail has suggested that United might move for Bayern Munich right-back Willy Sagnol.
