Manchester City are reportedly open to striker Alvaro Negredo's exit from the Etihad, should a club offer £25m for his services.
The Spain international joined the Citizens from Sevilla last summer, and had an excellent first half in the top flight of English football. However, the pace of the game caught up with him, as he failed to replicate his form in the second half of the season, and was subsequently benched for most of the games.
According to The Sun, the 28-year-old is considered as a top transfer target for Atletico Madrid, who are keen on finding a top-class replacement for Diego Costa, who left the Spanish champions to sign for Chelsea this summer.
It will be interesting to see whether Atletico offer the £25m transfer fee demanded by City for the talented striker.
