Eduardo da Silva today received his work permit to officially become an Arsenal player. Arsenal's initial request for the Dinamo Zagreb striker was rejected, however, Arsenal took it to appeal and the player has received a work permit.

Eduardo started this evening's Amsterdam Cup opener against Lazio which Arsenal won 2-1, and bagged his first goal from the club heading in from a corner. Eduardo looked very impressive throughout, and the £7m man looks to have settled in well.
