Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres could make his first start of the Premier League campaign against Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow.
The Sweden international netted 21 goals in his debut season for the Gunners, but has yet to get off the mark for the London giants this campaign.
Gyokeres has surprisingly played only 29 minutes of top-flight football this term, with manager Mikel Arteta preferring Kai Havertz to lead the line.
The 28-year-old has had starts in the Carabao Cup and Champions League, but the inconsistent playing time has impacted his confidence at club level.
Gyokeres recently had a stellar international break with Sweden. He played a leading role for them, scoring in every Nations League encounter.
He is currently in a purple scoring patch and could get the opportunity to start from the off against Leeds with Havertz seemingly doubtful.
Havertz sustained a minor hamstring injury during the international break. While he has not been ruled out, Arteta may handle him with caution.
Gyokeres could finally make his first league start of the season against Leeds. He scored three goals versus the same opposition last term.
