  • Veratti, who took part in Italy's unsuccessful World Cup tournament, has long been tipped to become the finest defensive midfielder of his generation and the 21-year-old could now be heading for a move to Spain after two successful seasons at Paris St Germain.

Ancelotti, the Real Madrid manager, signed Veratti from Pescara back in 2012 and is still known to keep a close eye on the performances of the midfielder. The deep-lying playmaker is hoping to move to Spain to reunite with his former manager and fellow countryman.
