Everton table bid for Carlos Sanchez

Reports from Spain suggest that Everton manager Roberto Martinez is to make Carlos Sanchez his newest acquisition. The 28-year-old defensive midfielder has been with Spanish side Elche since 2013, prior to that he played for French club Valenciennes.

Sanchez, who played an important part in Colombia\'s World Cup tournament, played in four games for his country; including the bitter 2-1 defeat to Brazil. Sanchez was one of Colombia\'s most consistent players and caught the eye of several teams.

According the Spanish press, Everton have already matched the 2 million euro minimum fee release clause for the experienced midfielder.
