Vidal to Manchester United?

13 July 2014 - 17:53

Manchester United are reportedly closing in on the Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • Vidal joined the Italian side from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011 and has since then been a regular in the side.

The 27-year-old has established himself as arguably the best midfielder in the world currently and has already won three Serie A titles with the Italian club.

Vidal finished last season with 11 goals and five assists in 28 starts in the league and his consistent performances has drawn a lot of attention from a host of European clubs including the likes of PSG and Real Madrid.

Vidal, who returned from Brazil after Chile were knocked out of the World Cup, has refused to rule out a move away from Italy.

"I’ve heard about the rumours, but I haven’t spoken more about this subject. I am enjoying my holidays, and when I return to Italy I’ll see what happens," He said.

Vidal might join his fellow countryman Alexis Sanchez in England, after he completed a move to Arsenal this week.

Vidal could become Manchester United’s third big signing this summer after the signings of Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw earlier in the transfer window.

With the imminent transfer of Patrice Evra, United will gain cash and will have advantage in signing the player.
