Ecuador national team and Mexican side Morelia's winger Jefferson Montero is on the cusp of a $8 million move to join Swansea City. The gifted winger will pen a three year deal at the Liberty Stadium.
The 5 foot 7 midfielder had attracted interest from fellow Welsh side Cardiff City last summer but a deal could not be pushed through by the Bluebirds' upper management. Swansea are the latest team to have shown interest in the 24-year-old and are confident a deal can be wrapped up this week.
Swans' coach Garry Monk has already been busy in the transfer market this summer, but the signing of Montero is sure to be a coup as numerous other teams are also in the race for his signing.
