Man Utd unlikely to sign Vidal

Man Utd end Arturo Vidal pursuit

17 July 2014 - 12:16

Manchester United have reportedly decided to give up on their attempt to sign Arturo Vidal from Juventus this summer, The Express reports.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The Chile international has been on the Red Devil's radar in recent weeks, with widespread reports claiming that the former Premier League champions had agreed on a transfer fee for the player.

However, this seems to be untrue, after Juve's director general Giuseppe Marotta insisted that the 27-year-old is not for sale.

The Express reports that the Red Devils refused to meet the £34m fee demanded by the Italian giants, as the club's hierarchy were worried about the 27-year-old's knee injury, which required surgery before the World Cup finals in Brazil.
