The Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is believed to be keen on adding top-class recruits at the club, as he aims to take the club to the next level and challenge for the Premier League crown this season.

Reports earlier revealed that the North London outfit had yet to make any offer for the German international, who is considering his future at Bernabeu.

However, The Metro claims that the Premier League giants will seal a deal for the talented midfielder, and the transfer could be struck within this week.

Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the World Cup winner.
