Hull City have made a bid for Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik. The French defender, aged 25, is set to make a move to the Premier League after terms were agreed for the players transfer from French club Rennes.
The 6 foot defender has been with Rennes since 2010 and has caught the eye of the Tigers' chief scout and a bid of 3 million euros has been lodged.
Steve Bruce's side are confident that a deal will be wrapped up before the end of July and Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik will partner Curtis Davies at the heart of the team's defence.
Hull were also battling with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg for the Frenchman's signature.
