Southampton to move for Jordy Clasie

Ronald Koeman, the newly appointed Southampton coach, has approached Feyenoord regarding the status of defensive midfielder Jordy Clasie. The Dutchman is being lined up as a replacement for Morgan Schneiderlin.

  • The Saints' current first choice central midfielder is set for a move away from St Mary's and Clasie has been mentioned as a long term replacement for Schneiderlin.

    The 23-year-old Feyenoord man is valued at around 8 million euros and has much experience playing top flight Dutch football having played over 140 games for his club. Clasie has also enjoyed international recognition, playing for the Dutch national team 10 times.

    Clasie is looking for a move to the Premier League to boost his international first team hopes.
