Aston Villa coach Paul Lambert admits that the club are still looking to sign new players ahead of the upcoming league season. The Villans could be about to sell Ron Vlaar to Southampton and subsequently Villa will look to bring in a new centre back.
The arrivals of Kieran Richardson, Philippe Senderos and Joe Cole have added competition for places at Villa Park, but Lambert still wants to bring a few more faces to the club.
"I’m still looking to bring another couple of signings in when we return," said the Villa manager.
"We have good competition for places now but I want to push on again."
