Queens Park Rangers have made a bid for French international midfielder Mathieu Valbuena after a report from France suggests that the Marseille player has rejected a move to Dynamo Moscow.

The midfielder has been a target for West Ham for numerous weeks but it is understood Valbuena will now listen to a fresh offer from QPR.

The 29-year-old is in high demand and had flown to Russia for talks with Dynamo, but after lengthy discussions with his family the midfielder decided that he would prefer a transfer to the Premier League instead.

Harry Redknapp is hoping to wrap up a deal for the player before the start of the new campaign.
