Despite recent claims that Edinson Cavani has reiterated his desire to stay at PSG and continue to play in Ligue 1, there remains continuing speculation that Jose Mourinho is vying for his signature.
Chelsea is planning a sensational £40 million bid for Paris St. Germain striker Edinson Cavani and reports from France claim that Blues’ manager Jose Mourinho is still eager to increase his team's fire-power, and has made signing Cavani his top priority even though they have secured the services of Atletico Madrid superstar Diego Costa.
It may be a possibility for Mourinho to bring in Cavani as their recently signed striker Diego Costa has been struggling with bad knee injuries from before the World Cup.
Chelsea are also rumoured to have told Fernando Torres that he is free to leave Stamford Bridge this month.
