Christian Ansaldi will spend a season playing on loan in La Liga for Atletico Madrid. The player has agreed a loan deal and his parent club Zenit St Petersburg have also agreed a fee with Diego Simeone's side.
Ansaldi, who has been tracked by some of the continent's best sides, is hopeful that a move to Spain will boost his chances of regular football for Argentina's national team.
Diego Simeone's side have been looking to replace Filipe Luis, who joined Chelsea last month and Atleti will welcome Ansaldi for pre-season training on Monday.
