Inter Milan to snap up Gary Medel

Inter Milan and Cardiff City have agreed a 10 million euro fee for Chile defensive midfielder Gary Medel. The two clubs have been locked in talks for over a month regarding a move for the versatile defensive star.

The Chilean international is a hot property and told Cardiff City management that he plans to leave the club this summer. Inter Milan have had a loan bid and two bids of 5 million and 6 million euros rejected.

Medel, who had enjoyed a successful World Cup for his country, is now set to fly to Italy for talks tomorrow morning and is expected to sign a four year contract with the Serie A giants.
