Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has dismissed speculation linking the club with a summer move for AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli, The Mirror reports.
Rodgers had recently described the Italian international as a 'big talent' and this spread the rumour that the club were willing to seal a deal for the former Manchester City man.
However, the Northern Irishman was quick to rubbish the claims insisting that he had just given his point of view on the Italian's talents, and the player will 'categorically' not be at Liverpool this summer.
"I was asked the question about Balotelli and spoke about what a talent he is and excellent player he is." Rodgers said."I can categorically tell you that he will not be at Liverpool. He is a wonderful player, but an AC Milan player. I just gave my opinion of him, but that doesn't mean I will be signing him."
