Arsenal have been associated with a summer move for Ajax defender Daley Blind, according to The Mirror.

  • Chelsea plan shock swoop for Sporting CP star
  • Chelsea have clear stance on signing Victor Osimhen
  • The talented left-back played a crucial role in the Netherlands' excellent run to the semi-finals at the recently concluded World Cup in Brazil.

With Louis van Gaal switching to Manchester United after his role with the Dutch setup, widespread reports have linked the 24-year-old with a transfer to Old Trafford.

However, a report from the Mirror claims that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is open to making an offer for Blind, who has the versatility of playing at either left-back or defensive midfield.

Blind made 44 appearances for the Eredivisie champions last season.
