Liverpool are understood to be confident of sealing a deal for one of the Premier League's best strikers this summer.
The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on covering up the loss of star striker Luis Suarez, who left the club for Barcelona earlier in the transfer window.
According to The Express, the Merseyside giants will make a renewed offer to sign Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony in the coming days, having seen their bid of £12.5m rebuffed by the Welsh outfit.
The report also suggests that a fee of around £16m could provide the green light in the deal.
