The 29-year-old had a great stint on loan with West Bromwich Albion last season, and this has alerted interest from several top clubs this summer.

According to Goal.com, Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is eager to secure the services of the talented midfielder this summer, as he aims to cover the loss of Ross Barkley due to injury.

The report adds that that Barkley could miss up to five months of first team action with a serious knee injury.
