Thaksin targets Europe in 2yrs

03 August 2007 - 16:21

Man City owner Thaksin Shinawatra has claimed that he hopes Sven Goran Eriksson can bring European football to Man City within 2 years. The Swede has already spent £40m on new players and Thaksin will be eager for a return on his investment.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Shinawatra has already stated that he believes a top 10 finish could be a successful result for Man City this year. After this, his long term aspirations are eventually the top 6 and then European football. The Thai owner has stated that having Sven Goran Eriksson as manager has enabled the club to attract several players that ordinarily Man City would not be able to sign.
