Chelsea and Arsenal have missed out on the signing of talented young French midfielder Adrien Rabiot as Paris St Germain have officially announced that the player will be heading to AS Roma instead.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Both London clubs have been chasing Rabiot all summer and one or the other had been favourites to wrap up a deal for the 19 year old.

However, AS Roma have surprised many and agreed a 16 million euro fee for the player. Rabiot is currently undergoing a medical in Italy and a deal will be announced this afternoon.

It is understood that he will agree a five year contract with the Serie A side.PSG had hoped to keep hold of Rabiot but with just one year remaining on his deal, the youngster has decided to move elsewhere and the club were ready to sell now instead of letting him leave on a free transfer next summer.
