Valencia agree deal for Alvaro Negredo

Valencia have revealed that they have reached an agreement to sign Alvaro Negredo on loan, with the option to a permanent transfer next summer.

The Spain international joined the Citizens from Sevillla last summer, and hit the English top flight by storm by scoring goals for fun. However, he failed to live up to the pace of the game, and was subsequently benched for the second half of the season.

It is believed that Pellegrini was keen on offloading Negredo this summer, in order to provide more gametime to his other striker in Stevan Jovetic, who missed a larger part of last season due to injury.
