Arsenal have reportedly agreed on an extension which would allow them to complete the paperwork required to seal striker Danny Welbeck's transfer from Manchester United.
The Gunners had been quiet for much of the day, with reports claiming that manager Arsene Wenger was busier managing a Charity match rather than concentrating on the club's requirements.
However, the North London giants have shown their need for improvement by agreeing a transfer fee of around £16m for the England international.
It is believed that the North London club would be given extra-time to seal the deal for the talented striker.
