Leicester City's new signing Danny Simpson has admitted that he was stunned by manager Harry Redknapp's decision to allow his exit from the club.
The former Manchester United man made the switch to the Foxes, after the Hoops signed Mauricio Isla on a season-long loan from Juventus for the right-back spot.
Simpson revealed that he was shocked by the exit as Redknapp felt he would get more opportunities in the first-team at Leicester City.
However, the 27-year-old is now keen on making amends by working hard for the Premier League minnows this season.
Leicester City play away at Stoke City in their next league fixture.
