Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers may look to tie down defender Martin Skrtel to a long-term deal, according to The Mirror.

  • The Slovakian international has been in top form for the Reds since the appointment of manager Brendan Rodgers, but there has been speculation linking him with a switch away from the club next season.

    However, The Mirror suggests that Rodgers will not let that happen, and will look to secure the player's future for another three years.

    The 29-year-old joined the Reds from Zenit St.Petersburg in January 2008.
