Barcelona midfield star Xavi reportedly rebuffed a switch to Manchester United during the recently concluded transfer window.
The veteran Spaniard has been associated with a summer exit from Camp Nou, but changed his mind to stay with the La Liga giants.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal was believed to be keen on signing Xavi, but the midfielder decided against making a switch to the Mancunian giants.
In addition to this, the Spain international also rejected a reunion with former boss Pep Guardiola, as Bayern Munich are the club's European rival.
