Juventus have also been associated with the player's services, but The Mirror claims that the Capital club have moved ahead in the race and will make a bid of around £2m for the England defender.

Johnson faced severe criticism from the club's faithful following his dismal performance in the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City last month.
