Man Utd to sign Cristiano Ronaldo next summer?

16 September 2014 - 00:14

Manchester United are reportedly preparing to make a mega-offer for Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Ballon d'Or winner left the Red Devils to join Los Blancos in the summer of 2009, and has since then notched up an impressive tally of 256 goals in 252 games at the La Liga giants.

Recent reports have revealed that the Portuguese international is disillusioned with life at the Bernabeu, with a return to his former club likely on the cards at the end of the season.

Balague has now claimed that both clubs could come to an agreement over Ronaldo's transfer to Old Trafford next summer.

"I do believe Manchester United are preparing an offer, or have got an offer prepared, for Cristiano Ronaldo and have had for months," He said.

"I do believe he is thinking of going back, but there will undoubtedly be more on that later!"

Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 games for United.
