Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard expects Italian striker Mario Balotelli to shine at Anfield. The forward scored his first goal for the Anfield club last night in the Champions League.
A late win over Ludogorets ensured Liverpool's Champions League got off to the perfect start and now club captain Steven Gerrard expects more of the same from the Italian striker.
Gerrard told reporters: "I think it will be the first of many (Balotelli's first goal for the club). I thought he worked his socks off. You look at strikers and sometimes when it is not going their way they sulk but he was relentless and he stayed in there and that one good chance which came his way he took and it was a great finish."
