Premier League duo Liverpool and Manchester City are reportedly set to have a bidding war to acquire the services of Real Madrid youngster Jack Harper in January.
Harper, 18, has attracted attention from several clubs in Europe over the past few days, following his excellent performance against FC Basel in the UEFA youth league, where he scored a goal as well as provided an assist for his side.
According to The Mail, manager Carlo Ancelotti is unlikely to offer first-team opportunities to Harper in seasons to come, due to the star-studded line-up at the Bernabeu.
The report adds that the Reds and the Citizens could make bids for the talented striker during the winter transfer window.
Harper has been with Los Blancos since the age of 13.
