Ronaldo rubbishes Manchester United move

Cristiano Ronaldo insists he is committed to Real Madrid

Ronaldo rubbishes Manchester United move

25 September 2014 - 18:39

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has played down all speculations regarding his future and insists that he is happy with the way things are right now.

  • Chelsea set £35m price to sell 20-goal striker
  • Arsenal considered favourites to sign Leipzig striker

  • The Portuguese international has been linked to a return to his former club Manchester United next summer, with former Whites’ President Ramon Calderon claiming that the player is ‘fed up’ with the transfer policies at Santiago Bernabeu.

Louis van Gaal, who brought Ronaldo’s ex team-mate and close friend Angel Di Maria to Old Trafford in the recently concluded transfer window, has also said that a move for the two time Ballon d’Or winner could be on the cards.

However, the player has rubbished all such claims and insists that he is committed to the La Liga club.

“They are all speculations about my future”, Ronaldo was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

“My future is Madrid. I'm happy this season is going well and my future, I will not speak about, it does not make sense”, he added.

He joined Real Madrid from the Red Devils in 2009 and has since then made 169 league appearances for them, scoring on 186 occasions and has won the Spanish title, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League during his time in the Spanish capital.
