  • The Ivorian international is believed to be unsettled at the Magpies following a below-par start to the season, and is considering a transfer away from the club during the winter transfer window.

The report claims that the Reds are ready to make a move for the talented African star, as manager Brendan Rodgers seeks a long-term replacement for legendary midfielder Steven Gerrard.

Liverpool beat West Bromwich Albion by a 2-1 scoreline at home in the Premier League on Saturday.
