Juventus confirm interest in Arsenal star

Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed the club's desire to sign German international Lukas Podolski from Arsenal in the next transfer window.

The World Cup winner has failed to cement his place in the starting line-up this season, with the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck considered ahead of him in the pecking order.

The 29-year-old recently hinted that he would consider his future at the Emirates, should he fail to seal a regular starting berth before the New Year.

According to The Mail, Marotta has admitted that the club will move for the German star, should he be available on the transfer market in January.

"If there is a possibility in January to move on the transfer market [for Podolski] we will do that," He said.

Podolski joined the Gunners from FC Koln in the summer of 2012.
